BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following the success of our Sheffield Half Marathon for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in April we have decided to increase our ambition and quintouple our fundraising target to £1000 for this year's Great North Run!

We have decided to run in costume this time and will be building a homemade bobsled as we are running as the Jamaican Bobsled team from Cool Runnings!

We now have a project website, where you can follow our progress with photos and soon to be uploaded videos. Please visit us at www.coolrunners.co.uk

MND Association is a great charity to donate to so please donate whatever you can afford to and pass on this link to anyone else who will enjoy seeing 4 overambitious guys(idiots) running 13.1 miles in a  Bobsled!!

I will be building the bobsled in question over the next week or so and will post the photos of the build and the final design as soon as I have them.

The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is the only national organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to the support of people with MND and those who care for them.

About the MND Association

The MND Association is a charity working to help people with MND secure the care and support they need, while promoting research into causes, treatments and a cure.
