The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·

Did you know there are over 20 million people in the UK living with a musculoskeletal condition? That’s about a third of the population. We help patients by raising funds for research to improve Orthopaedic treatment, restoring mobility and giving people back their freedom and independence.

Story

General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. Jenny, Simon, Jess and Adrian are joining the 2.6 challenge. We are going to run the 26 miles of a marathon and then the 26 miles back again. We aim to complete this challenge over the next 28 days. The charities we have chosen are close to our hearts: The Denise Foundations - supports children and families in rural Uganda. Covid-19 is bringing challenges including the rising cost of food. Diabetes UK -supporting patients and making a difference through research. Mind - Mental Health is more important now than ever (awaiting page link) Bone and Joint Health (awaiting page link) Thank-you for your support.
