COP26 Rebel Ride Brighton to Glasgow · 24 October 2021

Practical Action is an international development organisation that puts ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world.

Story

Yes! We arrrived and I have completed my cycle ride from Carlisle!

For the full journey see www.facebook.com/cop26cycle2021

By failing to Act Now our government is risking climate and ecological disaster.

Climate change is leading to increasingly frequent and more severe hazards and disasters. Poor people are the most vulnerable and hardest hit.

Practical Action are helping to make resilience a way of life, by advising people on how to adapt their lives to a changing climate and put plans and systems in place to predict disasters and minimise their impact.

And they are contributing to joint efforts to promote environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development.

These solutions are as useful in the G7 countries as they are in the global south to build resilience against food shortages.

Thanks to SUSTRANS for their continued development of a nationwide network for walking and cycling on.

Thanks to XR for assembling this action and continuing to Tell The Truth, Act Now and listen to the People!
