Story
Myself & my two sisters are taking part, in the Sudbury to the Sea event- set up by the River Stour Trust.
This event takes place annually over a weekend in September. We will navigate the 24 and a half miles (37km) of the River Stour, from Sudbury to the Cattawade barrier- in our canoes! We will see parts of the country side that are inaccessible by foot or road.
A big part of us raising money for this charity, is because of our Dad- David Coppock.
Our Dad sadly passed away two & a half years ago. For many years he was a volunteer & part of the fantastic team of the Sudbury Common Lands. He spent many hours, unpaid helping to keep the meadows looking its finest.
Dad had completed the Sudbury to the Sea before... which he enjoyed so much! He couldn't wait to tell us his tales from that day & we could see him beaming from ear to ear.
We was also very proud of the fact that he was a qualified skipper for the charity, he loved all of his time on the River & enjoyed being part of this this charity.
We can't wait to relay the same route that Dad did, to recreate memories but to also raise as much money as we can, for this fantastic cause. Just think, what would the Sudbury Meadows look like, with out these amazing volunteers?
Please help us make Dad proud by sponsoring us, to help put back in to the charity- as much as what he did. Literally every penny counts- thank you.
