Welcome to the Southampton Climbs the Three Peaks 2021 campaign! These incredible students are taking on an amazing challenge all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In 2021, I will be climbing the UK's Three Peaks, Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scarfell Pike in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. This charity aims to research and raise awareness of two serious diseases, Meningitis and Septicemia. Shockingly, meningitis and neonatal sepsis are the second biggest infectious killers of children under the age of five on the planet, affecting more than 5 million people every year! These diseases can kill you within 12 hours and are responsible for more deaths of children under 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined. The Meningitis Research Foundation's work is providing better access to vaccines, health systems that can diagnose and treat children, and give support to survivors of meningitis. Thanks to your support they've pioneered a global roadmap, bringing together global expertise to defeat meningitis by 2030. It is time to make meningitis a global health priority, you can do this today by donating using the give now button.

In addition I will be competing in the Eastbourne Half Ironman. As this will be my first attempt at a Half Ironman Triathlon my training is already well underway! I will be recording my training on Strava if you would like to track my progress.

I hope you can help me to support MRF, thank you so much.

Cordy xx
