The UK is one of the wealthiest countries on earth but obviously UK citizens are not – far from it!

According to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation 14.5 million people of the UK population (22%) are in poverty

Of these, 8.1 million are working-age adults, 4.3 million are children and 2.1 million are pensioners.

Child poverty continues to rise. The latest data suggests almost one in three children live in poverty (31%).

This winter, many families & individuals will be forced to miss a rent payment, ask their landlord for a rent break, go without essential daily living items in order to keep a roof over their head and/or will take on high interest debt to cope.

A national crisis is unfolding in front of our eyes.

I feel compelled to do my bit, both by leading on and taking part in the CCP Bug Sleep-out in 25 January 2023. 

With so many compelling causes already and with us all feeling the pinch, I appreciate this is just another ask......

Just a fiver of your hard earned money will help a family keep their home. In every family there are children and it is the children who suffer the most. Just a fiver!
