I'm asking you to sponsor me to ride the ring of Kerry. Its a 175km cycle ride with some big hills that make it a less than easy. However I'm also aware that many of you will be saying but "Kev does that for fun most weekends". So here is the incentive. If we "Core-ians" raise more than €250 CoreHR will match the amount up to €500. But more importantly if will surpass the €250 target I will ride the route on my 1975 classic bicycle in full vintage kit. That means wool jerseys (hope it doesn't rain), toe strap pedals, brakes that sort of stop you eventually and only 10 gears (modern bikes have 22) . See the picture attached of me doing just that in Italy a few years ago.
The Ring of Kerry takes place on the Saturday before Kick-off so you will be able to see first hand on the Monday how much you have made me suffer.
As and extra incentive I have set an Ultimate Goal for €1000 to see how keen you are to make me suffer. If we make it to that Goal I will also will ride from my home to the Chiswick office before the end of the Summer. That is 140 miles each way.
All proceeds will go to Simon Community which is a charity I know is very close to many of us and will be one of the chosen CoreHR Charities in FY19. Find out more by going to www.simon.ie
