It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

This November will mark ten years since my Dad died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 58. He was diagnosed just four weeks earlier.

There is still little known about the causes of this disease. It remains one of the hardest cancers to diagnose. It’s also very tough to treat and tough to research.

But Pancreatic Cancer UK are doing great work in trying to find ways to diagnose this cancer sooner and discover effective treatments.

In Dad’s memory, I want to raise as much money as I can for this great charity..

On September 9 (three days before he would have turned 68) I’ll be running my first half marathon - the Great North Run.

I’m really looking forward to it - and every penny I raise will help get me over the line.

Any contribution would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much.
