At Media Trust, we believe when everyone has an equal voice, we’ll get to a more equal society. That’s why we connect media organisations with charities and under-represented talent to empower the third sector and advance media representation.

Story

We are delighted to have selected Media Trust as our chosen charity for the Cornwallis Elt Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge this summer.

As a leading technology recruitment business, Cornwallis Elt works extensively in both the Media as well as Financial Services sectors and we have gotten to know Media Trust through some of the work we have done with our client partners in the Media world.

Media Trust is a communications charity that believes in the power of Media to change lives. They encourage the Media and Creative industry to share their time, knowledge and creativity to benefit charities, under-represented communities and young people. Working together, they are able to amplify charities' voices by developing their communication and digital skills to help them connect better with their audiences. They also run programmes to encourage young, diverse talent to develop their confidence, passions and talents for the work place.

Several years ago a Cornwallis Elt group completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge and we are very excited to have another fabulous team together ready to tackle the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge, essentially a 25 mile continuous hike over the 3 highest peaks of the Yorkshire Dales that we will aim to complete in less than 12 hours on Saturday August 17th.

As before, we will be entirely self-funded, self-guided and self-organised; any donations made will go directly to the charity as we will be covering all of our own logistical costs.

The team have been training hard over the last 6 months including having undertaken a number of weekend training days and excursions on the South Downs (as per the photo above) as well as a weekly running club which has been in place for almost all of 2019. We hope this will stand us in good stead on the day.

We thank you for your support!
