Story
I’m taking on the personal challenge of cycling the equivalent of Truro, Cornwall (my home) to CoppaFeel!’s Boob HQ in London - 265 miles! Instead of around the world in 80 days, I’ll be cycling the journey to Boob HQ in 8 days!
CoppaFeel! is an important charity for me - because my annual fundraiser event will no longer be able to happen in lockdown, I’m taking on this challenge to help raise vital funds for CoppaFeel! Now, more than ever, it’s so important to spread the all-important message of checking your boobs and I want to help CoppaFeel! to carry on this life-saving work. If you can spare a few pounds towards my challenge and CoppaFeel!’s life-saving work, it will make all the difference. Every penny counts! Thank you!
Follow me on Instagram @liz.kingdon for updates on my daily routes and progress. Local friends - Give me a wave if you see me go past!
Note - due to lockdown restrictions, I will not be cycling to London (due to having to stay overnight) so are covering the equivalent miles around Cornwall. I will be completing the challenge across 8 cycling days.
Huge thanks to @archiebrownstruro who are supporting me with energy snacks/drinks and muscle treats for my journey and @Halfords (Truro) for servicing my bike ready for the off!
CoppaFeel! are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to install a new healthy habit that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to stamp out late detection of breast cancer and ensure the nation is checking their boobs regularly. They want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn't right for them.
