Costessey First Responders is raising money for East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust Charitable Fund

Costessey First Responders · 24 October 2022

Working with the East of England Ambulance Service, the charity supports local ambulance stations and other healthcare initiatives. The charity also serves the Community First Responder (CFR) groups in east of England region. Local CFR volunteers are trained in first on scene lifesaving skills.

Story

We are raising money to fund a new life saving kit as well as a new communication and navigation device (NMA), which will significantly improve our availability in Costessey, Thorpe Marriott, Taverham, Drayton and other areas.

Costessey Community First Responders are trained volunteers who give up their spare time to support East of England Ambulance Service.
Our role is to attend certain types of emergency calls, stabilise the patient and provide the appropriate care until ambulance crew arrives on scene.
Our main aim is to reach a potential life threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew takes over the treatment.

Every kit contains defibrillator (which costs nearly £1500), oxygen therapy as well as diagnostic equipment. Each NMA device costs around £700.

Thank you for your support!
