SIFT is a Christian charity, committed to transforming the lives of the poor in Nicaragua. SIFT's projects include sponsoring children for education, supporting an orphanage, providing healthcare to local communities and building a new community for people facing eviction from their island homes.

Story

Between June 11th and June 17th, I'm going to be walking the Cotswold Way - a 98 mile walk from the centre of Bath to the Cotswold town of Chipping Campden.

I'm raising money to support SIFT's fantastic health clinics in Nicaragua.  Every week Dr Sandra and her team of nurses bring everyday healthcare to rural communities on the volcanic island of Ometepe, in Lake Nicaragua.  It's the kind of health service that we take for granted here in the UK, and that really makes a difference to the lives of the poor.  You can have a look at the photos in the gallery below to see Dr Sandra and her team in action.

I'm hoping to raise at least £2,000 through this challenge, which will provide free medicines for over two months for everyone who comes to our clinics.
