Campaign by SafeLives (RCN 1106864)
This year at SafeLives we've funded a number of running places for our keen bean supporters to help us to end domestic abuse for everyone and for good. Use this campaign to see who else is in team SafeLives!

Story

The Shackleton Challenge

In 1916, Ernest Shackleton and a portion of his crew rowed 1330 km in 16 days from Antarctica to the South Georgia Islands in an amazing feat of survival. More than a century later, we are going to recreate this feat (through running on land) to help all victims of domestic violence during the ongoing lockdown.

In a team of eight we are going to collectively run 1300km in 16 days.

To achieve this goal, we, the Shackleton Society, need your help. Any donation, no matter how large or small, will go a long way towards our goal. Help us reach our initial target of £1330 before the challenge ends on Saturday the 6th of June!

Your donation is hugely appreciated - thank you.

SafeLives is a UK charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for good. No one should live in fear. It is not acceptable, not inevitable, and with your help  we can make it stop.Every year, over two million people in the UK experience domestic abuse. Not one of them should have to wait until they're in crisis before we pay attention. We believe that domestic abuse can be stopped. Stopped before it starts. Stopped before it ruins lives. Your donation will help us change lives and make families across the UK safe and well - thank you! Thank you for your support.
