Monster Mud Run · 9 June 2019 ·
My running shoes are back on! Albeit this time they're going to get a whole lot muddier, as I will be taking on the Mud Monster Run for the only charity I would be insane to do this for - Lymphoma Out Loud!
As most of you know I was diagnosed with lymphoma, with the bonus news that my type was incurable.
Lymphoma is the most common cancer in teenagers & young adults - I wasn't aware of lymphoma, let alone it was the most common cancer!
Lymphoma Out Loud is the only UK charity educating young people on know the signs and symptoms of lymphoma and empowering them to get to know their bodies - spreading the message #BeBodyBrave
Every 27 minutes another person is diagnosed with Lymphoma, making it the most common blood cancer and the most common cancer in young people and it is on the increase. Despite this, awareness is shockingly low. Lymphoma Out Loud's mission is to; ensure young adults get to know the signs and symptoms, be body aware, and to have the confidence to head to the GP if they notice anything that doesn't feel right. We want to spread the message of being body brave!
