Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

All funds raised in this event will be donated to the MND association Cheshire branch to be used in our local community.

With the help from my 2 daughters, Sam and Mel,  my 2 son in laws Jon and Paul, my 2 grandchildren and some great friends!! we are attempting to increase the awareness of motor neurone disease, which we hold close to it hearts.

I am going to run a marathon around our beautiful and historic city walls, trying to increase funds for more scientific research for MND

I have ran and walked the city walls on many occasions from a young boy to a man, and sometimes with my wife Paula in the early years.

I don’t think there would be a better way to raise awareness for MND to run a marathon with in our beautiful historic and stunning city, with some amazing landmarks.

The undulations of the walls as well as the 6 sets of steps and bridges is something not to be taken lightly.

It would be an honour for team MND to take on this challenge.

2 years ago I cut hair for 24 hours in our city road gents shop. With an amazing response from everyone involved again raising awareness for Motor neurone disease and raising funds for scientific research. The grand total of £7600 my team MND did a great job.

If this event is half as successful as the first one, no doubt we will be elated.

This will be my last full marathon and I couldn’t think of a better way to bow out of my last 26.2 mile run.

This is our biggest challenge yet from a physical, mental and emotional point of view.
