Cooper Parry Sky Dive – Saturday 28th July
On Saturday 28th July, Jack will be boarding a plane, soaring to 13,000 feet, then bravely throwing himself out of it where he’ll freefall at 120mph before opening his parachute to get him safely onto solid land!
Just the thought of this would PETRIFY most people, but when Cooper Parry asked for volunteers to do this Skydive to raise money for their charity partner Heartlink, Jack Carter jumped at the chance to take part in this terrifying challenge!!
Jack is facing his fears to raise money for an amazing charity Heartlink.
Heart Link (East Midlands Children's Heart Care Association) was formed in 1981, as a support group for parents and families who had a child suffering from a heart defect. Over the years it has also become increasingly committed to improving facilities for young patients, their families and providing much needed valuable medical equipment. Heartlink supports Glenfield hospital which has been under continued threat of closure for several years, despite being one of the leading facilities for children’s heart services. As a result it is drastically underfunded by the NHS. The majority of medical equipment, play and distraction equipment, and even basics like trays to go over the beds for the children to eat dinner off, are donated by Heartlink. In addition, Heartlink provide parents’ rooms and kitchen facilities, so that parents can stay with their children while they are in hospital – so please help Jack raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity!
THROWING HIMSELF OUT OF A PLANE IS ONE OF THE SCARIEST THINGS JACK WILL EVER DO - SO PLEASE DIG DEEP AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT BY SPONSORING HIM!
Thank you!
