Last year for the Northampton Half Marathon 2019, a group of us singularly raised money for Child Bereavement UK in running the Northampton Half Marathon. We decided that we would do the same thing this year, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Northampton Half Marathon in September 2020 has unfortunately been cancelled. 

So..... A group of us decided to do it on our own and still look to raise money for Child Bereavement UK.

We all do jobs that are difficult and which are based around the safeguarding of children, but our jobs don't compare to the difficulties that families face when they lose a child, which is something that as part of our jobs, we are involved with on a regular basis.

As a collective, we have worked with families who have had to deal with the death of a child, or a child who is going through bereavement, and nothing can compare to the heartbreak that these families go through.

Child Bereavement UK are there to help. With the COVID-19 Pandemic, Child Bereavement UK need all of the help that they can get as there have likely been hundreds of fundraising events cancelled, and as such the money that they need to help children and families has decreased. We are hopeful that this half Marathon that we are completing will help with this, so please dig deep.

They support families who have lost a child through the hardest time of their lives, and they also support children who are grieving the loss of a sibling or parent through a very tough time.

We are all running for this charity to assist them in raising money so that this amazing work can continue. Please help us do this by making whatever donation you can. All of the money that you donate goes towards making people's lives a little bit more bearable during their darkest hour.
