Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge 2023 · 24 June 2023 to 25 June 2023 ·

Guts UK is the charity for the digestive system. Our guts have been underfunded, understaffed & undervalued for decades. Guts UK’s work leads to earlier diagnoses, kinder treatments & ultimately, a cure, through funding research, raising awareness, and providing information.

Story

In memory of BIG JIM PEARCE.

Terrible idea.. Terrible shirt.. but for a Terribly good cause..

As many of you know we all lost a very dear friend last month, something I've said alot in my time in the RAF is that you meet hundreds of "RAF mates" in your time but not as many Freinds.

Jim was certainly one of them, a real friend that would always listen and offer help anyone he could, he always listened and offered advise to me and I will always appreciate him for that. One thing he enjoyed was listening to my stupid ideas when it came to my charity ideas which always involved something physically challenging he would often say "That's a terrible idea you wazzuck, you wouldn't catch me doing that you must be off you head"

That's why I'd like to make this year's event in memory of Big Jim and to raise awareness about Pancreatitis and funding for "Kranky Panky" (Gutscharityuk)

As for the challenge itself it involves me completing the cotswold way ultra marathon challenge a 100km race on the weekend of 24-25 June this year (at pretty short notice and in the most awful floral shirt I can find)

If you could share the link below and maybe a few quid for an amazing charity I'd be forever grateful.
