I am a serving soldier of 35 years, married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren, who are my world. They have been my rock throughout my service and always supported me. I have decided to walk at least 1 mile a day everyday from 1 Dec 17 until 1 June 18, as a way of keeping fit and also raise much needed funds for this great charity that supports our service and ex service personnel in times of need.

I will also be raising funds for The Soldiers' Charity and the Royal Naval Benevolent Trust too in recognition of all our services, this will make my overall challenge 3 miles every day.
