Story
The swim is roughly 3 miles taking into consideration the tides of the mighty solent. It has busy shipping lanes and the tides can be pretty fierce, but im up for the challenge and am taking the plunge on 4th September 2010. We are starting from Ryde and finishing in Gosport taking roughly 3 hours....hopefully! Since i lost my leg i use a pull bouy whilst swimming so i will be completing the swim with my arms only!!!
Why you ask yourself? Im going to raise money for 2 charities that helped me when i was in need of a little extra help.

These charities maximise recreational therapies & adapt procedures fit for any ability of person. Whether you have 1 arm or no legs they will always find something that suits your needs. They help patients and members develope there “normal” life skills again by providing top class care!I would like to raise a minimum of £250 for each charity so if you can dig deep and help me in anyway i will be extremely grateful!
