Story

Ledbury fire station named 42, is a small rural station with a rescue appliance (422) and a water carrier (427) with currently 16 retained fire fighters to attend incidents 24hrs a day 365 days a year. Being a retained firefighter means that you have a full time job and are available either during your work hours and/or while you are home in Ledbury. When there is a shout we aim to "Turnout"  in 5 minutes and could be out for a long time. Retained fire fighters are usually on call anything from 40 to 120+ hours per week.

Being firefighters we are often on scene with the Air Ambulance and are always grateful to see them arrive knowing they have amazing skills and equipment to save any savable life! I feel particularly close to this charity because they did everything they could to try and save my brother but even these heroes have limits and unfortunately it was not possible to save him, however they tried and they were the best chance he had and I owe them for trying!

Knowing it cost thousands of pounds every time the air ambulance goes out and it is worth it then I am keen to raise money for them and any donation you can help with will be much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
