As you will be aware our family has been hit by 2 cases of cancer during covid. Firstly My wife, Vicky followed by my mother in law and head of our family Val. 

Vicky and Natalie have  run the London and Brighton marathon in the 2 years prior to covid  despite having young families of their own They had signed up for the Manchester marathon pre covid but the events have unfortunately been postponed. They are just as inspiring at how they are battling cancer as they have been training for the marathons. they have had their treatment at mount Vernon cancer centre in Northwood but this facility is under threat of closure.

Natalie, Vicky, myself and vickys two best friends Danielle and Sam have decided to Run itthis April  and all money raised help will go toward  supporting mount Vernon, those that know us well know that We are pretty much training from sitting on the couch to running a marathon in 3 months. 

Training will consist of 3 runs a week involving 5k, 10K, half marathons and finally marathon day.

Every donation, no matter the size is very welcome and will hopefully go some small way to help others receive the care vicky and Val are receiving from the amazing nurses, doctors and volunteers at mount Vernon who should never have to live in fear that this place will cease to be.
