Story

All monies will go to 'Rudham Ward Charitable Fund 42161'

Thanks for visiting my page. I am going to run an ultra marathon of 100km in the Peak District on July 13th 2019. I have decided to raise money for our local Rudham children’s ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

I have decided to raise money for them as they have been fantastic towards me and my family over the last few years.

My cousin's daughter - Dulcie who is 7 years old was born with Cystic Fibrosis and since birth visits Rudham Ward regularly and knows the staff well. They do such a great job of looking after Dulcie and also keeping her upbeat during her stay. Because she has to be isolated with her CF the staff give her lots of toys, activity books and crafting to do in her room which she is able to take home when she is well.

Another cousin's son - Cameron who is 3 years old was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy in 2018. He has had various stays on Rudham Ward during his diagnosis and since. Every visit whether it be an appointment or a short stay the have received really good care from all the staff there and couldn't praise them enough.

Also, my son Teddy was rushed into hospital in June 2017 for an emergency appendectomy and stayed in the ward for 5 nights. Before, during and after the operation the team on Rudham were fantastic with supporting Teddy, my wife and I.

Bearing all this in mind I wanted to help give something back. So please help by sponsoring me, every little counts.

Thanks for all your support!
