We fund research and raise awareness to shine a light on Lewy body dementia
Story
I am running the Edinburgh 1/2 marathon in may , Blaydon Race in June and Great North Run for Barbaras Uncle Dennis. He recently passed away after a long, hard battle with Lewy Body Dementia and a short battle with cancer.
I hope to to raise awareness and money for an amazing charity: The Lewy Body Society. Their mission is to fund research into the illness.
I hope that further research could help other people and who suffer from this cruel, degenerative brain disease and their families.
Any money you can give would be greatly appreciated - I know first hand this is a great cause.
Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.
