I am running the Great North Run in Newcastle on 16 September 2012 to raise money in memory of my Auntie Heather who developed incurable cancer. Heather was cared for at a Marie Curie Hospice in Edinburgh and their efforts, expertise and spirit made an extremely tough time for Heather and our family that little bit more bearable.

I know that a great deal of the funding for my Auntie's care will have come from peoples' fundraising efforts, and so I would like to raise money in the aim that another sufferer and their family receive help at the time it is most needed.

Please give as much or as little as you can, it all helps.
