Dublin city marathon · 23 August 2006

The object of the charity is to relieve sickness and distress among children suffering from cancer and their families. The trustees do this in any way that will be beneficial to the sick child & family. This is usually in the form of free holidays taken in one of the charity's properties on the coast in Hampshire. It also provides play/medical equipment for hospitals/individuals, organises special treats, raises awareness of childhood cancer & donates funds for UK neuroblastoma research

Story

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I have recently registered to run the Dublin City Marathon, Oct 30th, to raise money for The Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund.  As many of you may know my good friend & cousin Joshua Wilker passed away not long ago at the very young age of 14, taken by Leukemia.  Cancer affects one in five people and most of us know somebody who has been affected by this disease.

Donating through this site can help relieve sickness and distress among children suffering from cancer.  Donating is also simple, fast and totally secure. It is the most efficient way to sponsor me and the Children's Cancer Fund will receive your money directly. Donations can either be a set amount or a pledge based on the number of miles run (the marathon is 26 miles if you want to pledge per mile). Also note 1 British pound buys $1.90.

Many thanks for your support.

Craig, Nuala, Liam & Niamh
