Story

WE WON  !!

A massive well done to all that took part and a big cheer for all the friends and family who came down to support us.

CR Civil’s boat “Different Stokes” came in a fantastic 1st

Both teams did really well throughout the heats, both bagging a place in the semi- final. CR Different Stroke’s came in slightly quicker than the Stoke of Genius team in the semi’s to secure a place in the final 4.   Gable events kept everyone in suspense after a photo finish, when the results were announced everyone were shouting and cheering.

Boat 2 CR’s Stokes of Genius came 6th, which still deserves an enormous round of applause.

We also as a company came in 1st for the amount of money we had raised for Rainbows so far via our Just Giving page.

Thank- you to everyone that took part, thanks to all that came down to support the lads, to Neil and his wife for supplying the food and lastly to Carl for allowing us to enter and ensuring that a great day was had by all.

CR Civils entered a team of 12 into last years challenge and came a respectable 4th out of 36 teams, raising a fantastic £3363.50.  This year the challenge is on - not only for the team to do better than last year, but also an internal company battle is on.  CR's have entered 2 boats into this years 2016 event.  CR's Stokes of Genius & CR's Different Strokes.

2 teams of 12 have volunteered to take part in this years Dragon Boat Challenge which is taking place on Sunday 7th August 2016 at the Nottingham Riverside Festival, to help raise much needed funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young Adults.

Each team will be required to paddle a 30' Chinese dragon boat, competing against other entrants to battle it out over a 200 metre course on the River Trent watched by thousands of spectators.  Come down on the day, bring your family and friends, cheer our teams on.  All for a very worthy cause.  All donations greatly appreciated.
