Evora Hospice, formerly Southern Area Hospice Services, helps patients with life-limiting conditions live well from diagnosis to end-of-life, providing care tailored to each person's unique needs, wishes, and quality of life.

Story

I'm putting on my walking boots and trekking 115km over 7 days through the Camino de Santiago trail to raise funds for the  Southern Area Hospice.

El Camino de Santiago or The Way of St James is the pilgrimage route to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia north-western Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the apostle Saint James are buried.

Southern Area Hospice Services is a charity providing specialist palliative care for people across the Southern Health Trust region suffering from cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS. They also provide ongoing support for families and friends of service users.
