Story
I am an idiot and, nearly two years ago, I signed up to do what I have threatened to do for a while, and am skating and running the Berlin Marathon. Two marathons, two formats, two days. One moron.
In 2012, I was diagnosed with a rare form of Reading Induced Epilepsy. It turns out, after all this time, I'm only allergic to sodding books. My life changed pretty quickly. Suddenly I was on medication, I had tests, and out of the last 9 years I've had a driving license for about 2 of them. My epilepsy though, is mild. I am lucky.
The Epilepsy Society is there for people that aren't. For a huge amount of people, epilepsy is a constant menace that disrupts their life. The epilepsy society does incredible work to support those people that suffer and the people that live with them.
I don't really mix sport with charity. It's just something I've not really done. But this one is big and important.
