We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Earlier this year Eddie was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer after visiting the doctor when he noticed he had lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time.

Other than struggling to eat and losing weight, Eddie had no other symptoms. Two months of tests revealed that Eddie had cancer in the lining of his stomach and he is now undergoing treatment and has currently had 2 bouts of Chemotherapy.

Eddie has been coming to CrossFit for over 4 years now and is an integral part of the gym. Eddie's doctors have been blown away by his fitness and positive attitude.

The CrossFit family want to do something that reflects Eddie's positivity and also raise money for a charity that is close to Eddie's heart.

We'll be raising money for Cancer Research by rowing 274k, which is twice the length of the River Tees. We're asking our members to take turns on the rowing machines to reach this goal, and we're encouraging them to do this as fast as possible!

So, we're asking you to support us too and help us raise as much money as possible for this important cause.
