Team Cross Lanes are working together to raise funds for the people of Ukraine. 

Watching the daily news about the war in Ukraine is heart breaking, emotional and makes us feel helpless. WE WANT TO HELP.

We have set ourselves a challenge to actively cover the total mileage from Cross Lanes to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, a total of 1750 miles. We aim to achieve this during the month of April.  We have set up a team group on the Strava app so we can record our mileage as we go.

We are raising money in aid of British-Ukrainian Aid, they are a registered charity supporting people suffering from the war and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. They support the injured and wounded, orphaned children, the elderly, internally displaced persons, refugees and families who have lost their main earners.

This charity makes a positive change and lasting difference to the lives of people who endured dispiriting life changing injuries, visible or otherwise, while being exposed to the horrors of war.  They aim to ensure that the war casualties are properly prepared reintegrated and helped to live independent and fulfilled lives. This includes providing humanitarian and medical aid to those in need as well as raising awareness of challenges laying ahead and promoting programmes on social adaptation.
