Story
IT Services at the University of Manchester has chosen Cruse for our Christmas Charity Appeal.
Cruse is a bereavement charity helping people to cope during times of extreme grief. They don't have a lot of funding however their services are in high demand with so many GP's referring patients to contact Cruse at times of bereavement. For more information on Cruse: https://www.cruse.org.uk/
This year Cruse services have been used to help those affected by losses associated with the Manchester Terror Attack and Grenfell Tower tragedy.
Hope again is also part of Cruse - Hope again supports bereaved children and this week is also Children's Grief Awareness Week - lots of campaigning is being done to raise awareness and help these children. More education is needed and more volunteers. Death is a very difficult and almost taboo subject and often it is the unspoken word and refrain to speak up which is most traumatic for grief stricken children.
