Story
I am taking part in the Snowdon by Night Hike Sands (stillbirth and neonatal death charity) to help raise funds to support bereaved families and research into saving babies' lives
As most people know our beautiful little boy Rory arrived in the world on 7th December 2021 sleeping. Our hearts broke that day and will never be the same again.
Losing your child is not a pain that goes away you just learn to carry it. However, there are some days when the grief is just too heavy. It’s them days when the support of Sands is a lifesaver.
The support they provide is amazing and I honestly don’t think I would be standing without them! They are on hand to listen but also provide valuable research in to why this happens. Sands also holds the government accountable to review the rising still birth rate and investigate what more can be done.
They supported me through my darkest days and helped me explain to my 5 year old that his little Brother had gone to heaven.
I know times are hard but if you can spare anything it will go to help support parents and families just like me.
