CSA Celebrity Speakers has embarked upon a rather special challenge and a moment of your time will be much appreciated.

 

We have joined forces with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research as part of their Big Five-0 Challenge, launched to celebrate their 50th birthday this year. The Challenge is for 50 companies and individuals to each raise £50,000.

 

We at the UK office of CSA are taking the lead and have started our fund raising with some great lunches, birthday teas and sponsored ‘pink hair days’ with more to come.

 

Our UK Sales Manager, Dave Daniel, has pledged to run the London Marathon in April 2010. After the ‘large gulp’ when he got accepted, he has given up smoking, is in training and finding muscles he did not know existed.

By helping in this way you will be helping to transform the lives of 110,000 people living with blood cancers in the UK each year, through better treatments, improved survival rates and a normal quality of life after treatment. Leukaemia and blood cancers can affect everyone.  More people under 35 die from leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma than any other cancer.

 

Alastair Campbell a valued speaker at CSA (he got us involved!) and Chairman of Fundraising at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research said: “It’s great that CSA has pledged to help us get closer to a cure for this terrible disease.”  He has lost close friends to blood cancer as many of us have and with this push for research funds we could all make a huge difference and help Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research beat blood cancers.
