CIPFA South East annual dinner - charity raffle · 19 November 2021

Safer Places is a independent charity which supports survivors of domestic abuse by providing a comprehensive service of advice, support, advocacy, education, training and immediate access to our safe accommodation when required. We aim to empower our clients to live brighter, safer futures.

Story

Each year we hold a raffle at the CIPFA South East dinner to raise money for a chosen charity.

As President, I have nominated Safer Places, who deliver holistic support services to adult and child survivors of Domestic Abuse across Essex and Hertfordshire. Domestic abuse has both a devastating and radiating impact and affects the survivor and their families, friends, colleagues and communities.

Safer Places has faced a devastating loss of funds due to Covid-19 because of limitations on running fundraising activities, projects and training. Alongside this, survivors were being isolated alongside abusers.

Their work is critical - domestic abuse services are both live saving and live changing.

This year we won't be handing out tickets or collecting cash. Simply donate on this page and we will collect your table name card to enter into the raffle.

Please give generously to support this fantastic cause.

Thank you

Kathryn Long, CIPFA South East regional President
