As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, it promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender.

CHARITY IFTAR - Pakistan Flood Appeal

Millions of people in Pakistan have had their lives washed away by the recent floods.

A Charity Iftar - sponsored by the Civil Service Islamic Society and Islamic Relief is taking place next week to raise funds for the survivors.

Come along and show your support!

Date: Tuesday 31st August 2010
Venue: Lahore Kebab House, Streatham High Road
Time: 6.30 – 9.30 pm

Family and Friends welcome.

The evening will include a 3 course meal and charity auction. Islamic Relief will also be providing an insight into their work for the Pakistan Emergency Relief Appeal and showing you how the money you donate will be spent.

The Prophet PBUH said: “Whosoever alleviates the difficulties of a needy person Allah will alleviate his difficulties in both this world and the Hereafter’’ (Muslim)

All charity proceeds will go to the Islamic Relief Pakistan Emergency Appeal.

To purchase your tickets: Tickets are £16.00 on the door. To avoid disappointment all seats will need to be pre-booked with a table number then assigned.
