Sanofi Clinical Studies Unit 25 mile Challenge · 28 September 2012

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Clinical Studies Unit works day in and day out to develop new medicines for everything from cancer to diabetes. On Friday 28th September (National Fitness Day) we are coming together as a department to raise much needed funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, who do some amazing work for the six teenagers who are daignosed with cancer every day in the UK.

We will all be walking the 25 miles (give or take a mile or so) from Guildford to West Byfleet and back again. Most of us are not fit. Most have not trained for this. Most expect more blisters than ever before. Most will be walking like John Wayne for at least a week after. But what we ALL want is to raise as much money for this fantastic charity as possible and make all the pain worth it.

We all appreciate that these days, people are always asking for money for taking part in charity events and this is yet another one, but please dig deep and make a donation, big or small. The Teenage Cancer Trust is a fantastic charity and any money donated would be so important to them in allowing them to carry on doing incredible work and providing specialist support for young people with cancer.
