Grace's Palace full of Princesses

Dragon Boat Race 2018 · 20 May 2018 ·
The Cubed Team are committed to loving our communities, and on May 20th 2018, we are taking part in the Martin House Children’s Hospice Dragon Boat Race.
Our team ‘Grace’s Palace full of Princesses’ is in memory of a special little girl called Grace Hitchens. The Hitchens family are close friends and they have been supported by Martin House since their son Harry and daughter Grace were diagnosed with a life limiting condition called Niemann Pick Type C. Sadly the illness took Harry’s life at seven years of age, and last month, Grace passed away aged 13. Martin House were there for the family throughout, and have been a tremendous source of comfort, love and support to Fiona, Carl, and Grace’s twin sister, Emily.
Grace was tremendously brave, she loved life and brought so much sunshine and happiness to many people throughout her short life. She also loved Disney Princesses, so the team thought it fitting our boat should be filled with Princesses, pink bows and tutus - just as Grace would have wished.
Martin House look after 350 families across the region who have children with life limiting conditions, and they rely totally on donations to fund their £5 million a year costs. Your support is greatly appreciated.
