Newchurch Parish Church is actually the parish church of the whole village and parish of Culcheth. The original church was created as a ‘chapel of ease’ to Winwick in 1528. The present church building dates from 1904, rebuilt after a fire destroyed the old church the previous year. 

At Newchurch our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrines and practices of the Church of England,  through His Word and our actions showing our love of the Lord our God and his children – our neighbours. 

The running costs and maintenance of the church requires us to raise £110,000 each year, most of this through donations. Like many charities, 2020 has been financially challenging and we need community support to continue with our mission.

Our objectives are to provide the following public benefits:

To Love the Lord our God and to be open to Him through

• Regular public worship open to all, especially children.

• The provision of a sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation.

• To help people who have asked for assistance with prayer

• To review our services in order to enhance the beauty of our worship and to make occasional offices more accessible to those with no experience of church.

   To Love our neighboursand be open to them

• Pastoral work including visiting the sick, bereaved andelderly.

• Taking assemblies for children in both local schools and onchurch premises

• Provide services for weddings, baptisms and funerals for allwho want them.

• Promoting the mission of the Church through the provision ofactivities for the whole community.

• Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas. 

• ToLove each other through fellowship
  

• Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and smallgroups.

• To continue to meet with our ecumenical partnerslocally and to support one another
