2016 we took on the Tough Mudder challenge a 10-12 mile assault course with over 20 obstacles, to raise some money for charity. There was four of us participating, Tommy Smith, Alex Askew, Lawrence Geering and Martin Johnson. Through Virgin Money Giving. We managed to raise over 2k for our three chosen charities which was doubled by the Bank of America to bring the total to over 4K, which was split between Cancer Research, FMA UK and MNDA.
We needed a year or two off after that, but we are now back with a vengeance. We decided to up the ante this year and have booked in to do the Spartan Race at Windsor in October 2019. Not just any Spartan race, but the end of the season Beast Spartan race. 12-14 miles with 25 obstacles. this time around we will be aiming to raise money for the charity The Stroke Association UK.
