CURE works to improve the lives of children with treatable disabilities through specialised surgical and compassionate care. Through our eight paediatric teaching hospitals in underserved countries, we provide free corrective care, as well as training for local healthcare workers to do the same.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Here at the Beit-CURE International Hospital in Malawi, we are desperately in need of some vital building work. We have started to build a 3rd operating theatre and need to also construct new physiotherapy and children's play areas as well as complete the security fencing of the hospital buildings.

We are the only children's orthopaedic hospital in the country and serve a population of over 13million. There are an estimated 300,000 children in Malawi with physical disabilities who might benefit from our services.  Children and their guardians are treated, clothed and fed absolutely free of charge, thanks to the generosity of supporters such as you. (see www.cureinternational.org.uk)

Paul Harnett and I are hoping to raise £50,000 by biking the Cape Epic. This is arguably the hardest and longest mountain bike race in the world. The 1,200 competitors must ride just under 1,000 km of off-road trails and in so doing must climb 16,000m. - about twice the height of Everest.

We are training hard - please support us as together we endeavour to help provide these vital new facilities for the children and families we seek to serve.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cure International (UK) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!!
