Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are trying to raise funds for research into Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a devastating neurological disorder which affects mainly girls: imagine the symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's, epilepsy, and anxiety disorders all combined in one girl. Unlike many other conditions, there is hope for Rett. Scientists have re-created Rett in mice and been able to treat it genetically. To try this on humans will cost money and take time. Neither is available. Because Rett is a rare disease, there is little money from governments or drug companies.  The Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK has the single aim of raising and disseminating funds to support this research.
