Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity has partnered with the independent charity MediCinema to bring a state-of-the-art, free cinema to patients and staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

We recognise the importance of getting patients off wards and reunited with their loved ones so that they can enjoy a few hours of pleasure together. And what better way to do this than by bringing them the magic and escapism of the movies in a fully digital 3D cinema that can comfortably accommodate 46 seated patients, 7 wheelchairs and 4 beds? 

MediCinema is a UK charity that has formed a unique partnership with the health sector and film industry. It installs and operates cinemas in hospitals and places of care which are easy to access and provide a safe and relaxed environment for all its visitors regardless of their medical condition.

Aside from regularly screening the best new releases the cinema will also be used as a vital teaching space and centre for Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity’s music, dance and theatre projects.

 

The project has already received generous pledges from Vivendi and other supporters but we still need  to raise £330,000 to bring this amazing opportunity to Chelsea and Westminster. And that’s where we hope you can help!
