Story
Charity Week for Orphans and Needy Children is a week when everyone comes together and hits the streets to help raise funds for orphans and needy children around the world. From the 26th October - 1st November 2009 University and College students, School children, and Businessmen from all over the UK will unite and help raise funds for orphans in their own creative and fun ways. The idea behind Charity Week is simple, to work together and help make a difference to children's lives.
This is the second year the Scotland is taking part and last year we saw organisations such as: GUMSA, SUMSA, CUMSA, YM USIS ISocEd Heriot Watt Isoc, AUMSA, DUIS, St Andrews Isoc, YYI, Giffnock Urdu School, Eastwood Urdu School, FOSIS Scotland and others taking part!
As a result of the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment of these volunteers last year, MashAllah in Scotland we raised £50,000 and across the UK we raised over £300,000!!
There is only 1 JustGiving page for Scotland, so please send all donations via this page - so that all money can be easily tracked and accounted for.

Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) said - "I and the caretaker of the orphan will enter Paradise together like this, [raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between.]" [Saheeh al-Bukhaari]
