Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

We are planning to cycle (that is bicycle) across the USA, coast to coast from Portland, OR to Boston, MA . We are aiming to ride an average of 60 miles a day for ten weeks to complete the 3,600 mile journey. This is a fully loaded, self contained unsupported trip. This means that we will be carrying everything we need including camping equipment and water.

After searching for a suitable charity to ride for, we discovered the Microloan Foundation. Microloan makes small loans to enable people in Malawi to set up their own small business. 97% of the loans made are repaid in full, so your money will be put to work over and over again. We are covering all the costs ourselves, so all the money raised will go straight to the charity.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: MicroLoan Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support
