Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello there. My name is Kristopher Spence. I am 20 years old born and raised in the granite city. I am attempting to cycle the distance of Britain(874  miles) in 15 days to raise money for the mental health charity Penumbra. Also to raise awareness to the subject as a whole.

My mental health has always been something I’ve struggled with ever since I was young but it has came to be extremely challenging for me the past 5 years. I have a diagnosed borderline personality disorder, this makes most days for me to be difficult to get through smoothly. After many failed attempts with medication and different talking services I was referred to penumbra when I was at the one of the lowest times in my life. I was referred here by the police at the beginning of this year after a failed suicide attempt when I had zero motivation to even try and improve my life. Let me just say the difference using penumbras services have made for me, not many other services I’ve used have hit home like they did. So I want to give something back to them as it is a free service that runs off donations.

Any donation no matter how big or small is extremely appreciated towards the goal. If you have a spare minute please share this.

Let’s take a stand beat this silent killer that is mental health together!
