Story
This chapter has now come to an end. I have left the early words as they appeared when i initially set out to raise money for the cause. I have now completed the ride (29/8) and found it to be the most rewarding and satisfying thing i have ever undertaked. Ele will be proud as i was also now for just myself but for my other friends who undertook the event in memory of my Ele. I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me.
This picture shows my beautiful,caring,loving and courageous wife Ele. It was taken just 3 years ago when we had no thought of what was to come. Soon after Ele was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and went through 3 years of pain and suffering during 5 different courses of Chemo. The miracle drug never arrived and my darling slipped suddenly but peacefully away on 3rd March. She is hugely missed by myself our two young children,George and Jessica, as well as the rest of our families and her huge amount of friends. Ele was so very brave and fought like mad to beat this disease but in the end decided the pain had to stop.
It was the intention to cycle from London to Paris to help raise the funds to research the miracle drug for Ele and others alike. Now she is gone I intend to carry on the ride in her name and still raise the funds to help others unfortunate enough to be suffering from this horrible disease.
Would you please help me in this effort as she always insisted that I carry on regardless of whatever happened to her.
