Pain Concern run a marvellous radio programme for people with pain, called "Airing Pain".   This internet radio show provides information and support to people living with chronic pain who may have difficulty in reaching suitable healthcare services.  Airing Pain is broadcast by Able Radio and the episodes remain available for download as podcasts providing an on-demand support system that can be accessed anywhere.

 

Feedback on the programmes and support of their continuation has been strong and around 6,000 downloads have been made. As well as the supporting people in the UK the programmes have also been picked up from further a field.

 

Four if us plan to ride the 210km between Haltwhistle and Dunsop Bridge over 22nd and 23rd October 2011, with an overnight rest up in Richmond, North Yorkshire.  These have been chosen as they are both nominated as being the centre of the UK by different means of calculation and Pain Concern is a UK charity.  We hope to video our efforts, provided we can sort out the equipement!
