A team of 7 Places for People employees will be taking part in the Missing People Cycle Challenge 2013.
The challenge will take place on the 29 June – 03 July from Edinburgh to Richmond. The challenge will see the team covering a distance of 500 miles over 5 days, conquering some of the most challenging climbs in the UK, including Northumberland National Park and the North York Moors National Park. The ride is broken down in to the following stages:
DAY 1 – 114 miles Edinburgh to Newcastle
DAY 2 – 98 miles Newcastle to York
DAY 3 – 107 miles York to Nottingham
DAY 4 – 73 miles Nottingham to Northampton
DAY 5 – 83 miles Northampton to Richmond
The challenge is a bespoke ride and the team have to raise a grand total of £11,200. All money raised will go directly to Missing People.
Missing People are a lifeline when someone disappears. They are a team of caring and highly trained staff and volunteers who work in collaboration with partners across the UK. For those left behind, they provide specialised support to end the heartache and confusion and search for their missing loved one.
