A Cycle Across America · 30 January 2017

Genetic haemochromatosis (GH) can affect as many as 1 in 10 people in regions of the UK with an estimated 1.2million people at risk of serious ill health. We carry out pioneering research, increase public awareness, provide education to GPs & nurses and support families

Story

The Haemochromatosis Society is a charity that is run by
people affected by genetic haemochromatosis, and exists to provide
benefits for people affected by genetic haemochromatosis.

The charity raises awareness of haemochromatosis for patients, healthcare professionals, and policy makers. It also funds research to support investigations into the condition.

We have been personally affected by the condition, and starting in Feb '17 we plan to cycle the width of the USA with the aim to raise £1 for every mile we cycle - all 3200 of them!

We hope our pedalling and sore bums can help this fantastic cause!
